As a McCallum Sweeney Certified Super Park and as a Mega Site, Heart of Georgia Mega Site was required to follow an in-depth due diligence process to determine its suitability for development. This four-phase process includes assessments of physical, operating and community conditions; incentive negotiation; and key evaluations. As a result, the certifications provide that the necessary studies, requirements and plans are already in place for prospective companies.
The Georgia Ready for Accelerated Development (GRAD) Program offers industrial sites ready for fast-track construction projects through advanced due diligence. To qualify for GRAD status, available sites must meet the program’s standards, be reviewed by a third party and earn the final approval of a steering committee comprised of public and private sector economic development professionals.
